Morphological and mineralogical analysis of treated Diss fibers and their effect on physico-mechanical characteristics of Diss concrete based on alternative binder

I Zaid et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the feasibility of using vegetable fibers to develop lightweight construction material, with treated Diss fibers showing good chemical compatibility with air lime-based binder to overcome inhibitory effects. The optimal addition of Diss fibers was found to be in the range of 3 volume content, resulting in significantly enhanced flexural strength and improved toughness and deflection capacity of the specimen.
