Flexible carbon fiber/reduced-TiO2 composites for constructing remarkable performance supercapacitors

Rui Huang et al.

Summary: In this study, honeycomb structure titanium dioxide grafted with carbon fiber composites (CF/TiO2) is synthesized for flexible supercapacitors. The conductivity of TiO2 is enhanced by introducing oxygen defects, resulting in a specific capacitance of 115.2 F g-1 at 1200 mA g-1. The CF/TiO2 material exhibits excellent cycling stability with a capacitance retention of 98.37% after 10000 cycles, and it shows good flexibility and high energy density in testing.

Reticulated TiO2-Modified Carbon Fiber Enabling as a Supercapacitor Electrode Material for Photoelectric Synergistic Charge Storage

Rui Huang et al.

Summary: This study presents a photoassisted supercapacitor electrode that achieves photoelectric synergistic charge storage by integrating a photoelectrode and a capacitive electrode. The experimental results show that the capacitance performance of this electrode significantly increases under light conditions and exhibits excellent cycle stability. The enhancement mechanism is explained by the participation of high-energy photoelectrons in charge transfer, increasing the total energy of the process and favoring charge accumulation.
