In situ reforming of lignite pyrolysis volatiles for enriching light aromatics over Ga substituted HZSM-5

Zhen Yang et al.

Summary: Ga-substituted HZSM-5 was used to regulate the production of light aromatics during lignite volatiles catalytic upgrading, with xGa/H5(A) achieving high BTEXN yield. However, excessive Ga content weakened the synergistic effect between Ga species and acid sites, leading to reduced aromatic production.

Molecular coupling behavior of relay catalytic upgrading of heavy oil fast pyrolysis vapor to produce light olefins

Yuanjun Che et al.

Summary: This research proposes a relay catalytic upgrading method that combines vacuum residue fast pyrolysis and pyrolysis vapor catalytic cracking. By investigating the composition and molecular distribution of the pyrolysis vapor of Changqing vacuum residue (CQ-VR), it is found that the optimal reaction temperature for CQ-VR pyrolysis process is 600 degrees Celsius. Catalytic cracking of the pyrolysis vapor shows that Z-C catalyst achieves the highest yield of light olefins.

Hydrodeoxygenation of phenolics over uniformly dispersed Pt-Ni alloys supported by self-pillared ZSM-5 nanosheets

Longhui Guo et al.

Summary: In this work, a self-pillared nanosheet ZSM-5 zeolite catalyst loaded with Pt-Ni bimetals was prepared, which exhibited highly exposed surface areas and strong metal-support interaction. The Pt-Ni/SP catalyst showed enhanced hydrodeoxygenation efficiency through promoted adsorption and spillover reactions. Furthermore, the hierarchical structure of the catalyst also facilitated substrate adsorption.

Catalytic Conversion of a >= 200 degrees C Fraction Separated from Low-Temperature Coal Tar into Light Aromatic Hydrocarbons

Qiuxiang Yao et al.

Summary: A low-temperature coal tar fraction (CT200F) was prepared using a rotary film evaporator. Catalytic conversion experiments were conducted on CT200F and six model compounds, showing increased yields of aromatic hydrocarbons and decreased yields of acid compounds on ZSM-5, HY, USY, and beta-zeolite. USY and beta-zeolite exhibited significant increases in BTXN yields. The pore structure of ZSM-5 was found to be suitable for producing BTX, while the acidity and pore structure of USY, HY, and beta-zeolite were more beneficial for the selective preparation of naphthalene.

High-temperature fast pyrolysis of coal: An applied basic research using thermal gravimetric analyzer and the downer reactor

Yuan Jiang et al.

Summary: The study investigated the influence of temperature and particle size on the high-temperature fast pyrolysis behaviors of Shenmu(Yulin) coal. Results showed that different parameters led to varied yields of coal-char, coal-tar, and coal-gas, with the particle size affecting coal-char and coal-tar differently.
