CFD simulations of aerodynamic characteristics for the three-blade NREL Phase VI wind turbine model

Baifeng Ji et al.

Summary: In this study, different turbulence models were used to numerically simulate the aerodynamic characteristics of wind turbines, and the results were compared with experimental data. The findings suggest that the choice of turbulence model and inlet wind speed can affect the accuracy of predicting the aerodynamic characteristics of the blades.

Analysis of diffusion behavior of harmful emissions from trackless rubber-wheel diesel vehicles in underground coal mines

Yun Hua et al.

Summary: By utilizing a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model, this study investigated the emission and diffusion behavior of harmful substances from a diesel vehicle. The results revealed different diffusion characteristics under various conditions, and identified high-risk areas for the emitted hazardous substances. It was found that the rear and right side of the vehicle were high-risk areas during upwind idling, while the front of the vehicle posed the most risk during downwind idling. In addition, entering a chamber resulted in high-risk areas on both sides and near the roof.

Multiscale modeling and validation of the flow around Taylor bubbles surrounded with small dispersed bubbles using a coupled VOF-DBM approach

Rafael F. L. Cerqueira et al.

Summary: This paper presents a multiscale three-dimensional CFD model for simulating two-phase gas-liquid flows with different interface length scales, focusing on slug flow pattern. The validation study shows good agreement between numerical results and experimental data, and the presence of small dispersed bubbles affects the flow structure around Taylor bubbles, increasing their terminal velocity and influencing the flow structure in the wake region, related to heat and mass transfer rates in slug flow.

Study of the microscopic mechanism of lauryl glucoside wetting coal dust: Environmental pollution prevention and control

Wenjin Niu et al.

Summary: Molecular dynamics simulation combined with experimental methods were used to study the adsorption and wetting process of APG-12 molecules on coal molecules, revealing that APG-12 has a certain wetting effect on coal dust. Analysis showed that APG-12 molecules can easily adsorb on the surface of coal molecules and adsorb water molecules around them through hydrogen bonds.
