Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of Engine Performance and Emissions Fuelled with Jojoba Biodiesel

A. G. M. B. Mustayen et al.

Summary: The thermodynamic model developed in this study predicts the engine performance of diesel and jojoba biodiesel. The simulation results agreed with experimental data for various fuels and operating conditions. Jojoba biodiesel showed reduced emissions of CO and HC compared to diesel fuel, but increased NOx emissions. The study suggests that biodiesel could serve as a substitute for diesel in power generation sectors.
