Enhanced upconversion luminescence and optical temperature sensing performance in Er3+ doped BaBi2Nb2O9 ferroelectric ceramic

Ankita Banwal et al.

Summary: A series of BaBi2-xNb2ErxO9 ceramic compositions with different Er3+ concentration were synthesized, and their upconversion light emission and luminescence-based temperature sensing ability were examined. The study confirmed the formation of a Bi-layered perovskite phase and observed changes in Raman modes indicating reduced interaction of Bi3+ ions with NbO6 octahedron with increasing Er3+ content. Optimal properties, including strong upconversion green emission bands and high temperature sensitivity, were observed at an Er3+ concentration of x = 0.04 in BaBi2-xNb2ErxO9 composition.

Control of upconversion luminescence by tailoring energy migration in doped perovskite superlattices

Wenwen Chen et al.

Summary: This paper describes an experimental investigation of photon upconversion (UC) in perovskite BaTiO3/SrTiO3 superlattices doped with different lanthanide compositions. The results demonstrate that UC emission can be effectively enhanced by precisely incorporating a set of lanthanide ions into separated layers. Furthermore, controlled energy migration can lead to CC emission.

Mechanically induced enhancement and modulation of upconversion photoluminescence by bending lanthanide-doped perovskite oxides

Feng Dong et al.

Summary: This study experimentally investigates the impact of bending strain on the upconversion processes in doped barium titanate thin films and reveals that bending strain can significantly enhance and modulate the upconversion emission. The introduction of Mn2+ ions further promotes the modulation effect.

A facile co-precipitation method for synthesis of Zn doped BaSnO3 nanoparticles for photovoltaic application

Reshma K. Dileep et al.

Summary: The BaSnO3 (BSO) electron transporting layer (ETL) used in solar cells has been modified by doping Zn atoms to enhance its optical and electronic properties. The study of Zn doping on BSO revealed the optimal bandgap and high optical transparency necessary for perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Fabricated PSC devices using Zn-doped BSO showed promising power conversion efficiency and improved electron lifetime compared to undoped BSO.
