Sustainable Applications of Tyre-Derived Aggregates for Railway Transportation Infrastructure

Experimental Investigation of the Cyclic Behavior of Steel-Slag Ballast Mixed with Tire-Derived Aggregate

Summary: This study experimentally investigated the cyclic behavior of steel slag ballast materials mixed with tire-derived aggregate (TDA), and found that the optimal percentage of TDA in the mixture is 10% by weight (16.5% by volume). The behavior of the ballast was affected by the TDA percentage, with settlement and damping ratio increasing, and breakage index and stiffness decreasing with higher TDA percentages.

Cyclic stress-strain characteristics of calcareous sand improved by polyurethane foam adhesive

Three-dimensional finite element analyses of tyre derived aggregates in ballasted and ballastless tracks

Investigation on the physical, mechanical and microstructural properties of epoxy polymer matrix with crumb rubber and short fibres for composite railway sleepers
