The gastrointestinal fate of inorganic and organic nanoparticles in vitamin D-fortified plant-based milks

The results showed that while TiO2 nanoparticles were effective at increasing whiteness, nanocellulose particles were effective at increasing shear viscosity in the fortified milks. The behavior of the nanoparticles in the gastrointestinal tract was analyzed, showing that they were well dispersed due to protein adsorption and mechanical action of gut fluids.
