Tunable metamaterial absorber based on resonant strontium titanate artificial atoms

Summary: The study demonstrates a tunable metamaterial absorber composed of artificial dielectric atoms which achieves polarization insensitive and wide incident angle absorption band at room temperature. The absorption frequency can be gradually modulated by temperature, while the absorption intensity remains near unity at the working frequency, showing potential applications as temperature sensors and frequency selective thermal emitters.
