China's lithium supply chain: Security dynamics and policy countermeasures

Na Zhou et al.

Summary: This study used system dynamics to model the lithium supply chain in China, considering both demand and price dynamics. The results showed that China's lithium supply chain is primarily driven by consumption, and changes in resource reserves have little impact on its security. However, the growth of the electric vehicle industry may have a negative effect on the security of China's lithium supply chain. The short-term impact of the pandemic on the domestic lithium supply chain was manageable, but it also intensified the issue of overcapacity.

Soluble polymeric metal-organic frameworks toward crystalline membranes for efficient cation separation

Xin Wang et al.

Summary: Soluble polymeric MOFs (polyMOFs) obtained by Williamson ether polycondensation were reported in this study, showing high solubility in N-methyl pyrrolidone for membrane fabrication. These polyMOFs maintain their framework structure after multiple dissolution and precipitation cycles, exhibiting outstanding cation separation performance due to nanopore sieving effect. This provides a platform for facile construction of MOF membranes by rational design of soluble polyMOFs using a variety of polyligands.
