Continuous microflow synthesis of fluorescent phosphorus and nitrogen co-doped carbon quantum dots

Liangliang Lin et al.

Summary: This study developed a continuous, facile and efficient method for the preparation of nitrogen and phosphorus co-doped carbon quantum dots (NP-CQDs) using microflow reactors and localized, energy-efficient heating. The results showed the successful preparation of ultrasmall fluorescent CQDs with narrow size distribution, where N and P atoms were effectively doped into the CQDs. The influence of reaction conditions on the properties of obtained CQDs was analyzed. This study is expected to guide the continuous and controllable preparation of fluorescent CQDs with effective doping of heteroatoms.
