The circularly polarized luminescence properties of Cu(I) complexes with (R)-BINAP ligands were studied. The complexes showed the highest dissymmetry factors (g(lum) approximate to 0.005) among reported Cu(I) mononuclear complexes when combined with diphosphine-dichalcogenide ligands, with emission quantum yields reaching up to 16% in dichloromethane.
The circularly polarized luminescence properties of heteroleptic Cu(I) complexes bearing (R)-BINAP ((R)-BINAP = (R)-(+)-2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl) were investigated. When the Cu(I) complexes were combined with diphosphine-dichalcogenide ligands, they displayed the highest dissymmetry factors (g(lum) approximate to 0.005) in the reported Cu(I) mononuclear complexes with emission quantum yields of up to 16% in dichloromethane.
