Carbon/chlorinate deposition on MnOx-CeO2 catalyst in chlorobenzene combustion: The effect of SCR flue gas

Zijian Song et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigated the influence of coexisting NOx and chlorobenzene on a MnOx-CeO2 catalyst. It was found that surface chlorine accumulation has a greater impact on chlorobenzene oxidation performance, while NO and NH3 can mitigate coke deposition. The composition and release mechanism of coke were revealed, as well as the mechanism of chlorine's influence on the catalyst.

Unusual positive effect of SO2 on Mn-Ce mixed-oxide catalyst for the SCR reaction of NOx with NH3

JiaYu Chen et al.

Summary: The high-performance denitration catalyst based on Mn-Ce mixed-oxide demonstrated outstanding low-temperature activity and excellent SO2 tolerance, with abundant active sites and a porous structure. The introduction of SO2 enhanced catalytic activity and suppressed unwanted ammonia oxidation. The reaction pathway on the mixed oxide was confirmed to be the L-H mechanism based on in situ DRIFTS.

Two steps synthesis of CeTiOx oxides nanotube catalyst: Enhanced activity, resistance of SO2 and H2O for low temperature NH3-SCR of NOx

Zhiping Zhang et al.

Summary: CeTiOx-T with nanotube structure exhibits excellent catalytic activity, SO2 and H2O tolerance, and stability in NH3-SCR reaction. The strong interaction between Ce and Ti leads to short-range ordered Ce-O-Ti species, resulting in a larger BET surface area and higher NH3-SCR performance than traditional catalysts. In situ DRIFTS results suggest different reaction mechanisms at low and high temperatures over CeTiOx-T.

Mechanism of Ce-Modified Birnessite-MnO2 in Promoting SO2 Poisoning Resistance for Low-Temperature NH3-SCR

Xue Fang et al.

Summary: Ce modification of birnessite-MnO2 catalyst enhances SO2 resistance during NH3-SCR reactions through the formation of sulfates, which play different roles in the reaction mechanism, providing more acid sites for NH4+ adsorption and protecting Mn active centers from deactivation by preferentially adsorbing and oxidizing SO2 on Ce species.

Evolution mechanism of transition metal in NH3-SCR reaction over Mn-based bimetallic oxide catalysts: Structure-activity relationships

Yiran Shi et al.

Summary: The study found that cobalt is more easily enriched on the surface of manganese-based bimetallic oxide catalysts, exhibiting the best deNO(x) activity and SO2 tolerance. The role of different transition metals and the structure-activity relationships were systematically investigated using advanced techniques.
