In this study, a pair of inherently chiral belt-shaped conjugated macrocycles were conveniently synthesized from 2,7-fluoren[3]arene triflate. They exhibited green fluorescence and showed circularly polarized luminescence with a |g(lum)| value of 2.0 x 10(-3).
