Bifurcation analysis of an age-structured prey-predator model with infection developed in prey

Soufiane Bentout et al.

Summary: In this study, an age-structured prey-predator model with infection was proposed to examine the effect of predator maturation age on the interaction between predator and prey, as well as the spread of infectious disease. It was found that the minimal maturation duration can impact the behavior of the solution, potentially leading to periodic solutions generated by Hopf bifurcation for three different equilibrium states. The mathematical results were numerically validated using graphical illustrations.

Bifurcation and dynamics in double-delayed Chua circuits with periodic perturbation

Wenjie Yang

Summary: This paper investigates the behavior of a periodically kicked Chua model with two delays in a circuit system. By analyzing the stability of equilibria and obtaining the conditions for Hopf bifurcations, explicit formulas are derived to find the bifurcation form and stability of period solutions. The study shows that rank-1 chaos occurs when the Chua model with two delays undergoes a supercritical Hopf bifurcation and encounters a periodic kick, indicating the effect of delays on the circuit system. Simulations are used to illustrate the theoretical analysis and explain the mechanism of delay in the system.

Complex dynamics of Leslie-Gower prey-predator model with fear, refuge and additional food under multiple delays

Ashvini Gupta et al.

Summary: In this paper, a system of delay differential equations incorporating prey's refuge, fear, fear-response delay, extra food for predators and their gestation lag is analyzed. The persistence, stability and various bifurcations are discussed. The results show that fear and prey's refuge can stabilize or destabilize the system, and the system undergoes different bifurcations at different energy levels.

Complex dynamical behavior of a ratio-dependent eco-epidemic model with Holling type-II incidence rate in the presence of two delays

Chandan Jana et al.

Summary: We propose an eco-epidemiological model to study the disease dynamics in a prey-predator system. The model incorporates the spread of disease in the prey population and the recovery of the infected prey through natural immunity. Two time delays, incidence delay and gestation delay, are introduced to account for the conversion of susceptible prey into infected ones and the predator growth. Mathematical requirements and numerical simulations are used to analyze the model behavior and explore the population dynamics under different scenarios.

Stability and Hopf Bifurcation of a Stage-Structured Cannibalism Model with Two Delays

Tao Zheng et al.

Summary: This work explores a stage-structured cannibalism model with two delays, establishing criteria for the local stability of feasible equilibria and the existence of Hopf bifurcation. Theoretical results combined with numerical simulations show that the predator's gestation time delay and the prey's feedback time delay play crucial roles in shaping the system dynamics.

Complex Dynamics of an Eco-Epidemic System with Disease in Prey Species

Absos Ali Shaikh et al.

Summary: This study investigates the complex dynamics of an eco-epidemic predator-prey system, where disease is transmitted in prey species and predator population is provided with alternative food. The half saturation constant for infected prey, the growth rate of susceptible prey, and force of infection are found to play significant roles in creating complex dynamics when alternative food is present. The system exhibits important dynamics such as stable coexistence, Hopf bifurcation, period-doubling bifurcation, and chaos, with analytical results being numerically justified.

Chaos control in a multiple delayed phytoplankton-zooplankton model with group defense and predator's interference

Sajan et al.

Summary: This study examines the interactions among three different types of plankton and analyzes the stability, equilibrium points, bifurcations, and chaos of the system. The findings suggest that increasing the inhibitory effect of toxic phytoplankton and predator interference can support zooplankton growth in contrast to traditional responses. Furthermore, variation in toxic liberation delay leads to multiple stability switches and chaotic behavior in the system.

Dynamics of a delayed predator-prey system with fear effect, herd behavior and disease in the susceptible prey

San-Xing Wu et al.

Summary: In this article, a delayed predator-prey system with fear effect, disease, and herd behavior in prey incorporating refuge is established. The stability and bifurcation of the system are discussed by analyzing characteristic equations and constructing a suitable Lyapunov function. Additionally, the impact of prey refuge, fear effect, and capture rate on the system is also considered in the analysis.

Modeling and analysis of a predator-prey type eco-epidemic system with time delay

Samadyuti Haldar et al.

Summary: In this research work, a delay-induced eco-epidemic model using a reconstructed Leslie-Gower-type growth rate is formulated and analyzed. The stability and dynamics of the model system, including the impact of infection on total harvest, efforts to reduce infection, and length of delay required for stability, are rigorously studied. Numerical simulations based on analytical results provide insights into system stability and disease spread.

Delay in budget allocation for vaccination and awareness induces chaos in ail infectious disease model

Arvind Kumar Misra et al.

Summary: Vaccination and awareness programs have significant impacts on the dynamics of infectious diseases, reducing epidemic potential and even eradicating diseases. When the per capita growth rate of budget allocation reaches a threshold, it leads to limit cycle oscillations. Multiple stability switches and chaos occur with the gradual increase in time delay in budget allocation due to infected population.
