Rietveld refinement structure, electric, dielectric and ferroelectric properties of lead-free Ba0.985Sr0.015Zr0.10Ti0.90O3 ceramics

Summary: In this study, the BSZT compound was prepared and sintered at different temperatures to investigate its structural, morphological, dielectric, and ferroelectric properties. It was found that tetragonality and denseness of the microstructure are highest at 1250 degrees C, indicating a transformation to cubic structure and a weakening of relaxor ferroelectric behavior with further increase in sintering temperature. Additionally, the significant improvement in ferroelectric properties was observed with increasing sintering temperature.

Microstructure-dependent electrical properties of Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-BaTiO3-SrTiO3 ternary solid solution

Summary: This study investigates the evolution of microstructure and its effect on the electrical properties of ((Bi0.5Na0.5)(0.94)Ba-0.06)(0.70)Sr0.30TiO3 [BNBSTO] electroceramic. The relative dielectric constant and temperature-dependent relative permittivity both increase with the sintering temperature, while the electrical diffuseness decreases with the increase of grain size. Grain boundaries play a significant role in the electrical conductivity, and the grain size directly influences the ferroelectric properties and energy storage density.
