MF-094, a potent and selective USP30 inhibitor, accelerates diabetic wound healing by inhibiting the NLRP3 inflammasome

Xu Li et al.

Summary: This study investigated the mechanisms involved in wound healing of diabetic foot ulcers and found that the deubiquitinase USP30 plays an important role in this process. The study also revealed an interaction between USP30 and the NLRP3 inflammasome. Inhibition of USP30 using the inhibitor MF-094 showed potential as a therapeutic approach for diabetic foot ulcers.

Alternative approaches to target Myc for cancer treatment

Chen Wang et al.

Summary: The Myc proto-oncogene family consists of C-MYC, MYCN, and MYCL, encoding c-Myc, N-Myc, and L-Myc respectively. Myc protein orchestrates various physiological processes but its deregulation rewires signaling modules inside tumor cells. While more than 70% of human cancers show deregulation of Myc, there is currently no specific drug available to directly target it.
