This paper summarizes the research advances in the field of NH3-SCO by Ag-based catalysts, which have aroused extensive interests in the past decades. The influence of the catalyst composition and physicochemical properties of Ag-based catalysts on NH3-SCO performance is highlighted, and an overview of the catalytic reaction mechanism and the structure-activity relationship of catalysts is given. Directions and design strategies for high-performance Ag based catalysts in NH3-SCO are also provided.
Gaseous ammonia (NH3) is harmful to both human health and the environment. Selective catalytic oxidation of NH3 (NH3-SCO) to N2 and H2O is a highly promising method for the elimination of gaseous NH3. Considering catalyst performance and cost, Ag-based catalysts are regarded as the candidates with the most potential. In this paper, we summarize the research advances in the field of NH3-SCO by Ag-based catalysts, which have aroused extensive interests in the past decades. We highlight the influence of the catalyst composition and physicochemical properties of Ag-based catalysts on NH3-SCO performance, and give an overview of the catalytic reaction mechanism and the structure-activity relationship of catalysts. Finally, directions and design strategies for high-performance Ag based catalysts in NH3-SCO are also provided.
