Micro-/mesoporous Co-NC embedded three-dimensional ordered macroporous metal framework as Li-S battery cathode towards effective polysulfide catalysis and retention

Summary: A three-dimensionally ordered macroporous carbon composite was designed to enhance the performance of lithium-sulfur batteries, resulting in low capacity fading rate and high discharge capacity. This new structure provides smooth Li ion transport, traps polysulfides, accelerates charge transfer, and facilitates the adsorption and conversion kinetics of lithium polysulfides.

Ordered macroporous V-doped ZnO framework impregnated with microporous carbon nanocages as multifunctional sulfur reservoir in lithium-sulfur batteries

Summary: In this study, a new structure for the cathode of lithium-sulfur batteries was proposed. It consists of a conductive oxide-based matrix and N-doped carbon nanocages, which can effectively catalyze and fix sulfur for reversible and rapid redox reactions. The experimental results show that this cathode material exhibits excellent cycling stability and rate capability under various testing conditions.

Three-dimensional ordered hierarchically porous carbon materials for high performance Li-Se battery

Summary: Developing host materials with high specific surface area, good electron conductivity, and fast ion transportation is crucial for high performance Li-Se batteries. In this study, a series of 3D ordered hierarchically porous carbon (3D OHPC) materials with micro/meso/macropores were designed and synthesized. The optimized 3D Se/OHPC cathode exhibited excellent electrochemical performance, attributed to the improved ion and electron conductivities provided by the hierarchical porous structure.
