A sensitive electrochemical method for indole based on the signal amplification strategy by gold/iron-oxide composite nanoparticles

Ying Zhou et al.

Summary: A sensitive electrochemical method was established for the determination of indole concentration using screen-printed carbon electrode modified with gold/iron-oxide nanoparticles. The method showed a wide linear range for indole detection and a low limit of detection, demonstrating promising prospects for indole detection in conventional laboratories.

Morphological and electrochemical characterizations of a carbon nitride/highly oriented pyrolytic graphite electrode

Cesar G. Gomez et al.

Summary: This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the morphology and electrochemical properties of graphite carbon nitride/highly oriented pyrolytic graphite electrode surface for hydrogen peroxide reduction reaction. Results indicate that graphite carbon nitride is a valuable electroactive material that can enhance the electro-activity of other cheaper carbonaceous substrates.

Twisted graphene in graphite: Impact on surface potential and chemical stability

Tuan-Hoang Tran et al.

Summary: Freshly cleaved HOPG shows time-evolving domains with surface potential contrast, attributed to locally different hydrocarbon adsorption driven by structural defects likely related to rotational mismatch. Raman spectroscopy results support the hypothesis of bilayer graphene behavior due to broken symmetry at the top surface. This indicates that the chemical and electrical properties of HOPG are more complex than generally believed.
