Calcined ZnAl-LDH trapping performance in alginate beads for adsorption of Congo Red dye

Amal El Khanchaoui et al.

Summary: In this study, the adsorption process of Congo Red dye by calcined Layered Double Hydroxide was investigated, and it was found that the adsorption efficiency of ZAC was significantly higher. The results also showed that the reconstructed layered structure of ZAC played an important role in the adsorption process. Furthermore, the alginate-coated ZAC beads exhibited remarkable adsorption performance and greater stability compared to the alginate/ZnAl-LDH composite beads.
