An Easy-to-Use Public Health-Driven Method (the Generalized Logistic Differential Equation Model) Accurately Simulated COVID-19 Epidemic in Wuhan and Correctly Determined the Early Warning Time

Zhuoyang Li et al.

Summary: This study compares and analyzes the application of the logistic differential equation (LDE) model and the generalized logistic differential equation (GLDE) model in infectious disease simulation. The results show that the GLDE model provides a more accurate fit to the data and can handle asymmetric data, while the LDE model is more advantageous in predicting the acceleration week of epidemics.

Evaluating the effectiveness of measures to control the novel coronavirus disease 2019 in Jilin Province, China

Qinglong Zhao et al.

Summary: This study calculated the transmissibility of COVID-19 in Jilin Province, China, and evaluated the effectiveness of control measures. The results showed that the interventions in Jilin Province effectively controlled the spread of the virus, with a significant reduction in the actual incidence compared to the predicted incidence by the model.

Summary: The study found that the disease burden of HFMD in China is still high, with higher incidence in the southern regions compared to the northern regions. The early warning times for HFMD across China are heterogeneous, with distinct temporal patterns observed in different geographical regions.
