Biocatalysis-mediated MOF-to-prussian blue transformation enabling sensitive detection of NSCLC-associated miRNAs with dual-readout signals

Juan Tang et al.

Summary: A dual-readout assay method for miRNA detection based on BMMPT and CHA strategies was demonstrated, achieving high sensitivity and accuracy for miRNA-21. The use of PB@MOF-Fe2+ enabled detection of miRNA-21 at concentrations as low as 0.3 fM and 0.32 fM using temperature readout or electrochemical readout, respectively.

Self-assembled all-inclusive organic-inorganic nanoparticles enable cascade reaction for the detection of glucose

Ximei Sun et al.

Summary: This study presents an all-inclusive nanoparticle system for colorimetric and photothermal bioassay of glucose. The nanoparticles utilize TMB as chromogenic substrates and GOx/HRP as signal amplifier enzymes, demonstrating improved enzymatic catalytic efficiency and stability compared to traditional methods. The incorporation of NIR laser-driven photothermal effects allows for quantitative photothermal detection of glucose. This unique technique holds promise for developing simple and precise bioassay methods.

Quantitative gold nanorods based photothermal biosensor for glucose using a thermometer as readout

Yingzhou Tao et al.

Summary: In this study, a simple biosensor for glucose based on the photothermal effect of gold nanorods using a simple thermometer as readout has been developed. Glucose reacts with dissolved oxygen in the presence of glucose oxidase to produce H2O2, which then etches gold nanorods for temperature change. The method shows linear relationship with glucose concentration and can be modified to detect different targets.
