HSCCC Separation of Three Main Compounds from the Crude Extract of Dracocephalum Tanguticum by Using Dimethyl Sulfoxide as Cosolvent

Summary: In this study, an efficient method for separating three main compounds from Dracocephalum tanguticum crude extract was established using high-speed counter-current chromatography. The target compounds were obtained with purity higher than 80% and further purified to over 98% using preparative HPLC. Identified compounds include chlorogenic acid, pedaliin, and pedaliin-6''-acetate.

Summary: This paper developed a preparative method for the separation and purification of phaseoloidin, entadamide A, and entadamide A-beta-D-glucopyranoside from the crude extract of Entada phaseoloides using high-speed countercurrent chromatography (HSCCC) for the first time. Through optimized extraction conditions, the target compounds were successfully obtained with certain scavenging abilities on free radicals according to antioxidant activity assays.
