Eddy covariance measurements of ozone flux above and below a southern subtropical forest canopy

Summary: This study presented the first eddy covariance measurements of ozone flux at different heights in a Chinese forest, revealing that ozone flux and deposition velocity were higher above the canopy compared to below, with stomatal uptake playing an important role in ozone deposition. Ozone deposition velocity increased with air temperature, relative humidity, photosynthetically active radiation, and friction velocity, but tended to plateau when these meteorological factors exceeded their optimal values.

Summary: Our research shows that changes in agricultural N-r emissions have different effects on PM2.5 levels in different regions, with reductions in Europe and northern Asia and increases in India, China, and the eastern US. Changes in land cover also lead to small reductions in PM2.5 levels in certain regions. Agricultural N-r emission changes have minor impacts on surface O-3 levels, mainly in China, India, and Myanmar.
