STRIDES: automated uniform models for 30 quadruply imaged quasars

T. Schmidt et al.

Summary: Gravitational time delays provide an independent measurement method for H-0, and the key is to have high-accuracy lens models. In order to overcome the expense of obtaining these models, an automated modelling pipeline has been developed and applied to a sample of 31 lens systems. This pipeline can derive models with minimal human and computing time, providing measurements of key parameters and predictions of magnification and time delays for multiple images.

The WISE-2MASS Survey: Red Quasars Into the Radio Quiet Regime

E. Glikma et al.

Summary: We present a highly complete sample of broad-line (Type 1) QSOs out to z similar to 3 selected by their mid-infrared colors, and compare the red and blue QSO radio properties. Red QSOs have a higher detection fraction and exhibit brighter radio emission and steeper radio spectral slopes compared to blue QSOs. The incidence of red QSOs is strongly luminosity dependent, with red QSOs comprising over 40% of all QSOs at the highest luminosities. Dusty AGN-driven winds are believed to be responsible for the obscuration and excess radio emission seen in red QSOs.

Testing the evolution of correlations between supermassive black holes and their host galaxies using eight strongly lensed quasars

Xuheng Ding et al.

Summary: The study focuses on utilizing strongly lensed AGNs to explore the correlation between the mass of a supermassive black hole and the properties of its active host galaxy. Results are consistent with non-lensed AGNs studies, demonstrating the potential of extending research to higher redshifts using strongly lensed AGNs.

Measuring accretion disk sizes of lensed quasars with microlensing time delay in multi-band light curves

J. H. H. Chan et al.

Summary: Time-delay cosmography in strongly lensed quasars provides an independent method for measuring the Hubble constant, but microlensing effects can introduce uncertainties in time-delay measurements. This study investigates how microlensing time delays are affected by assumptions on the initial mass function and proposes a new method to measure the color-dependent source size in lensed quasars using multi-band light curves. Results show that precise differential time delays between bands can help recover the disk size with a factor of 2 accuracy and achieve unbiased source measurements within a 20% error margin.

The rocky road to quiescence: compaction and quenching of quasar host galaxies at z ∼ 2

H. R. Stacey et al.

Summary: By analyzing seven gravitationally lensed quasars with the Atacama Large (sub)Millimeter Array, it was found that the host galaxies can be categorized into two types based on their dust distributions and star formation rates; some quasar hosts with small sizes suggest they are in the process of transforming into compact spheroids. Additionally, one system with probed gas reservoir showed a low gas fraction and depletion time-scale, indicating a transition towards quiescence.
