CuPc nanowires PVD preparation and its extra high gas sensitivity to chlorine

Lianqing Yu et al.

Summary: Efficient copper phthalocyanine gas sensors with sensitive and selective analysis capabilities for toxic gases at room temperature have shown great potential in recent years. In this study, a gas sensor based on copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) was prepared using a low-temperature physical vapor deposition (PVD) method. The uniform cotton-wool nanowires film had high yield and easy peel-off properties. The PVD preparation temperature significantly affected the recovery and cyclic properties of the gas sensor for chlorine. The high-performance CuPc nanowires prepared at 230 degrees C had the lowest detection limit and a much faster recovery time compared to previous results. Additionally, it exhibited excellent light-induced gas-sensitive characteristics to Cl-2 at room temperature. This sensor has potential applications in photo-gas sensors, photocatalytic devices, or photoelectric devices.

Boosting Photoelectrochemical Performance of BiVO4 Photoanode by Synergistic Effect of WO3/BiVO4 Heterojunction Construction and NiOOH Water Oxidation Modification

Wanqing Fang et al.

Summary: A ternary WO3/BiVO4/NiOOH photoanode was prepared using sol-gel and photoelectric deposition processes. The photoanode showed 7 times greater photoresponse compared to bare BiVO4. After NiOOH modification, the interfacial carriers' transfer resistance of the photoanode was reduced by a quarter, and the photocurrent density retained 78% of its initial value after a 10-hour stability test.

Ultrathin ZIS nanosheets encapsulated in metal-organic-framework-derived CNCo-Fe3O4 as an efficient functional photocatalyst for hydrogen evolution

Huihua Luo et al.

Summary: We propose a facile method to design a p-n heterostructure photocatalyst for efficient visible light-driven hydrogen production. The intimate coupling between metal-organic framework-derived carbonaceous materials and ZnIn2S4 nanosheets facilitates charge transfer and inhibits electron-hole recombination, leading to fast reaction kinetics at the heterointerface. The catalysts show high H-2 yield and long-term stability, attributed to their enhanced light absorption capacity, conductivity, and charge separation ability.

Atom substitution method to construct full-solar-spectrum absorption MoSeS/TiO2 nanotube arrays for highly efficient hydrogen evolution

Lijie Duan et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that two-dimensional semiconductor MoSeS combined with TiO2 nanotube arrays exhibit highly efficient photocatalytic H-2 generation. The MoSeS/TiO2 heterojunction prepared by one-step atom substitution method shows superior photocatalytic performance compared to the two-step method. The composites not only reduce charge transfer resistance and accelerate carrier transport, but also improve visible light utilization efficiency with an obvious redshift in UV-vis absorption spectra.
