Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy Based Temperature Measurement with a Single Diode Laser Near 1.4 μm

Xiaonan Liu et al.

Summary: This paper demonstrates a temperature measurement method based on the tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) technique using a single diode laser. The TDLAS system showed advantages such as immunity to laser wavelength shift, simple system structure, reduced cost, and increased system robustness. The system was tested on a McKenna flat flame burner and a scramjet model engine, and exhibited excellent dynamic range and fast response.

Ultra-highly sensitive HCl-LITES sensor based on a low-frequency quartz tuning fork and a fiber-coupled multi-pass cell

Shunda Qiao et al.

Summary: In this paper, an ultra-highly sensitive light-induced thermoelastic spectroscopy (LITES) based HCl sensor using a custom low-frequency QTF and a fiber-coupled MPC was demonstrated. The results showed that the low-frequency QTF provided improved signal enhancement compared to a standard QTF, and the fiber-coupled MPC enhanced system robustness. The sensor exhibited an excellent linear response to HCl gas concentration.

Highly sensitive HF detection based on absorption enhanced light-induced thermoelastic spectroscopy with a quartz tuning fork of receive and shallow neural network fitting

Xiaonan Liu et al.

Summary: A highly sensitive hydrogen fluoride (HF) sensor based on light-induced thermoelastic spectroscopy (LITES) technique is reported in this study. The sensor utilizes a simple structure and a robust shallow neural network (SNN) fitting algorithm for denoising the spectroscopy data. The system stability is demonstrated through Allan variance analysis and a low minimum detection limit (MDL) is achieved.

Multi-pass quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy-based trace gas sensing

Shunda Qiao et al.

Summary: A trace gas sensor based on MP-QEPAS technology was developed, utilizing a multi-pass laser beam pattern to achieve a higher signal level compared to traditional QEPAS methods. The use of water vapor as the target gas demonstrated a signal enhancement of approximately 3.2 times, showing promise for potential applications in gas detection.

Development of a 443 nm diode laser-based differential photoacoustic spectrometer for simultaneous measurements of aerosol absorption and NO2

Yuan Cao et al.

Summary: The differential photoacoustic spectrometer (D-PAS) is developed for simultaneous, online measurements of ambient aerosol optical absorption and NO2 concentration. The novel photoacoustic resonator in the D-PAS improves the control of large flow rate, response time, and minimizes flow noise, achieving detection limits of 1.0 Mm-1 and 0.87 ppb for aerosol absorption and NO2 concentration measurements. The accuracy of D-PAS is demonstrated through long-time, continuous measurements of aerosol and NO2 in ambient air, with results consistent with NOx analyzer and environmental monitoring station.

Ppb-level detection of methane based on an optimized T-type photoacoustic cell and a NIR diode laser

Zhenfeng Gong et al.

Summary: This paper introduces an optimized T-type resonant photoacoustic cell for methane gas detection, evaluating its performance using finite element method and thermoviscous acoustic theory. The system, including NIR DFB laser source, high-speed spectrometer, and fiber-optic acoustic sensor, achieves high sensitivity and a minimum detectable limit.
