In this letter, explicit exponential algorithms for two-dimensional charged-particle dynamics with non-homogeneous electromagnetic fields are proposed and studied. The reformulation of the considered system allows for the derivation of three practical algorithms for charged-particle dynamics. The convergence of these algorithms is established and proved, and numerical tests demonstrate their excellent behavior and support the convergence result.
In this letter, we propose and study explicit exponential algorithms for two-dimensional charged-particle dynamics (CPD) with non-homogeneous electromag-netic fields. After reformulation the considered system, exponential methods are employed to get three practical algorithms for CPD. The convergence of those obtained algorithms is established and proved. A numerical test is provided and the numerical results demonstrate the excellent behavior of the derived algorithms and support the convergence result.(c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
