Observer-based fuzzy feedback control for nonlinear systems subject to transmission signal quantization

Xiao-Heng Chang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the observer-based quantized output feedback control for a kind of nonlinear discrete-time systems described by a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. An effective matrix inequality decoupling method is presented to handle the design of the controller, observer, and dynamic parameters of quantizers, showing that the design conditions can be synthesized synchronously. The resulting design ensures that the quantized closed-loop system meets the prescribed H-infinity performance, demonstrated by a mechanical motion system.

Observer-based finite-time H-infinity sliding mode control of stochastic nonlinear singular systems and its applications

Huawei Liu et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the finite-time bounded problem for stochastic nonlinear singular systems. A state observer independent of external disturbances and Brownian motions is designed, along with a sliding mode function that ensures both finite-time bounded stability and H-infinity performance of the system. Criteria for the finite-time bounded stability and H-infinity finite-time bounded stability are obtained using Lyapunov function and linear matrix inequalities. The designed controller guarantees the finite-time stability of the sliding mode function, and the practicality of the control scheme is verified through two examples.
