A novel network DEA-R model for evaluating hospital services supply chain performance

Javad Gerami et al.

Summary: Assessing the efficiency of a supply chain is crucial for managers and decision makers. This paper introduces a network data envelopment analysis model to evaluate the performance of supply chains. By incorporating ratio data into the evaluation, important information can be conveyed to managers. The applicability of the proposed model is demonstrated through the assessment of 19 hospitals in Iran.

An extension of correspondence analysis based on the multiple Taguchi's index to evaluate the relationships between three categorical variables graphically: an application to the Italian football championship

Antonello D'Ambra et al.

Summary: The aim of this paper is to evaluate the relationships between three categorical variables, of which at least one is ordinal, from a graphical point of view and using inferential tools, such as Correspondence Analysis. The paper introduces Taguchi's statistic as an alternative to Pearson's statistic for ordered contingency tables and presents multiple extensions and enhancements of this statistic for graphical analysis of ranking data. An application is developed to demonstrate the applicability and interpretability of the approach.

Confidence regions and other tools for an extension of correspondence analysis based on cumulative frequencies

Antonello D'Ambra et al.

Summary: This paper introduces an extension of correspondence analysis that takes into account ordered categorical variables, and proposes the concept of confidence region for each of the ordered categories to determine the statistical significance of a category with respect to the null hypothesis of independence. The construction of these circles for CA has not been considered in the literature, and a suitable decomposition of Taguchi's statistic is introduced to test the statistical significance of each column category.
