Enhanced electrochemiluminescence biosensing of gene-specific methylation in thyroid cancer patients' plasma based integrated graphitic carbon nitride-encapsulated metal-organic framework nanozyme optimized by central composite design

Seyyed Mehdi Khoshfetrat et al.

Summary: A sensitive electrochemiluminescence immuno-DNA sensor was designed to analyze circulating cell free DNA (cfDNA) methylation. The sensor achieved multiple signal amplification without bisulfite and PCR amplification by using magnetic nanoparticles/anti-5-methylcytosine monoclonal antibody and a nanozyme with phosphorylated DNA capture probe immobilized. The method successfully identified tumor-specific methylated DNA in the plasma of thyroid cancer patients and demonstrated high clinical sensitivity.

A novel electrochemical sensor modified with green gold sononanoparticles and carbon black nanocomposite for bisphenol A detection

Siwar Jebril et al.

Summary: An eco-friendly electrochemical sensor for bisphenol A (BPA) detection was developed using a nanocomposite of carbon black (CB) and gold sononanoparticles (AuSNPs), exhibiting higher electroactivity and excellent selectivity within the BPA concentration range of 0.5-15 μM. The synergic combination of green AuSNPs and CB as cost-effective nanomaterials contributed to the sensor's sensitivity and low detection limit of 60 nM.
