Newer P2Y12 Inhibitors vs Clopidogrel in Acute Myocardial Infarction With Cardiac Arrest or Cardiogenic Shock: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

Summary: This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of newer P2Y(12) inhibitors compared to clopidogrel in patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiac arrest or cardiogenic shock. The results showed that compared to clopidogrel, newer P2Y(12) inhibitors used in dual antiplatelet therapy were associated with lower rates of early and 1-year mortality, but the data on major bleeding and stent thrombosis were inconclusive.
