From E-VITA open plus to E-VITA NEO and E-NOVIA

Frozen Elephant Trunk: Minimally Invasive Implantation of a New Trifurcated Hybrid Aortic Prosthesis

Summary: The implantation of hybrid prostheses using the frozen elephant trunk technique has become a standard procedure for aortic arch and proximal descending aorta pathologies. Introduction of new devices has reduced surgical complexity and enabled a minimally invasive approach for safe and durable aortic arch repair. This report presents the first human experience with the new trifurcated frozen elephant trunk aortic prosthesis, E-vita OPEN NEO, using a minimally invasive technique.
