Wide-Bandgap Perovskite Quantum Dots in Perovskite Matrix for Sky-Blue Light-Emitting Diodes

Yuan Liu et al.

Summary: This study developed a novel CsPbBr3 QD-in-perovskite matrix solid that exhibited high luminescent efficiency and spectral stability. The modulation of perovskite E-g and the passivation of the material were achieved through alloying and specific coordination, leading to enhanced air- and photo-stability.

Deactivation/Activation of Quenching Defects in CH3NH3PbI3 Perovskite by Direct Electron Injection/Extraction

Yu Du et al.

Summary: OMHPs exhibit complex slow responses under external electric field, with reversible photoluminescence enhancement and quenching attributed to electron injection and extraction effects. External voltage control over PL in CH3NH3PbI3 crystal indicates brilliant carrier mobility and highlights the importance of hole/electron injection effects on the materials.

Efficient perovskite solar cells via improved carrier management

Jason J. Yoo et al.

Summary: Metal halide perovskite solar cells have shown great potential to disrupt the silicon solar cell market with their improved performance, yet still face limitations in light-harvesting due to charge carrier recombination. Efforts to enhance charge carrier management offer a path to increase device performance and approach the theoretical efficiency limit of PSCs.

All-optical switching based on interacting exciton polaritons in self-assembled perovskite microwires

Jiangang Feng et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates all-optical switching using propagating and strongly interacting exciton-polariton fluids in self-assembled CsPbBr3 microwires. Strong polariton-polariton interactions and extended polariton fluids with a propagation length of around 25 μm have been achieved, allowing for all-optical switching on/off of polariton propagation in picosecond time scale. The scalable self-assembly method highlights promising applications of solution-processed perovskites in integrated photonics operating in strong coupling regime.

Summary: Photon loss in optical fibers hinders long-distance distribution of quantum information on the ground, and the complexity of quantum repeater schemes limits communication distance. Alternative solutions such as transportable quantum memory and quantum-memory-equipped satellites offer promise for global quantum communication.
