Summary: This study demonstrates a versatile approach to realize room-temperature operable and fast recovery amorphous oxide semiconductor-based gas sensors using multi-wavelength ultraviolet illumination. The research shows that different wavelengths of UV light can enable a gas sensor to monitor nitrogen dioxide at various concentrations down to sub-ppm level. By controlling the illumination time, the detachment of NO2 gas from the surface of the semiconductor can be significantly reduced, enhancing the gas-sensing properties.
