Mode-controlled random laser assisted by stimulated Raman scattering

Mandana Sadat Hosseini et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the fabrication of a reproducible and stable mode random laser using Rhodamine 6G dye-containing ZnO@C-N microstructures. The coupling of stimulated Raman scattering effect and random lasing process plays a key role in enhancing the Raman peaks and achieving laser mode selection.

Bio-inspired wrinkle microstructures for random lasing governed by surface roughness

Venkata Siva Gummaluri et al.

Summary: This study presents a method for fabricating bio-inspired scattering substrates based on PDMS for spatially incoherent random lasing. By using leaves of monstera and piper sarmentosum plants as molds, wrinkle-like scattering substrates with different surface roughness were created, leading to successful implementation of random lasing. The results were substantiated through waveguide theory and Fourier analysis, validating the effectiveness of the method.

Low threshold incoherent random lasing with spectral overlap optimization of size-tuned plasmonic nanorods

R. Gayathri et al.

Summary: Plasmonic random lasers are of significant interest in optics and photonics due to their improved performance, but absorption losses and fluorescence quenching are major setbacks. One-dimensional anisotropic plasmonic structures can help overcome these limitations by manipulating the spectral overlap, enabling the realization of low-threshold random lasing systems.

Controlling the lasing modes in random lasers operating in the Anderson localization regime

Mohammad Rashidi et al.

Summary: Random lasers are simpler and cost-effective to fabricate compared to traditional Fabry-Perot cavities. By changing the design parameters of the random InP nanowire arrays, the properties of the lasing modes can be controlled, including the number of modes, lasing wavelengths, and lasing threshold.
