MoS2/MXene Aerogel with Conformal Heterogeneous Interfaces Tailored by Atomic Layer Deposition for Tunable Microwave Absorption

Summary: In this study, a 3D porous MoS2/MXene hybrid aerogel structure was constructed by atomic layer deposition (ALD) to optimize the microwave absorption performance. The optimized MoS2/MXene hybrid aerogel showed a minimum reflection loss of -61.65 dB at a thickness of 4.53 mm. Additionally, it had desirable properties such as lightweightness, high surface area, mechanical strength, and hydrophobicity, making it suitable for practical applications.

Summary: Combining flexible reduced graphene oxide (rGO) with highly electrical conductive and flame retardant MXene, a sandwich structure composite film was prepared using a small amount of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as the adhesive. The fabricated film exhibited excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness, electric heating performance, and flame retardancy.

Strong and conductive reduced graphene oxide-MXene porous films for efficient electromagnetic interference shielding

Summary: In this study, mechanically flexible and electrically conductive porous films were fabricated through a controlled hydrazine foaming process. The addition of MXene prevented excessive expansion of the film, improved electron conduction paths, and enhanced mechanical properties. The resulting porous film exhibited superior mechanical and electrical performances, as well as excellent electromagnetic interference shielding properties.

Summary: In this study, aligned MXene-based materials for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and infrared (IR) stealth were fabricated by using one-dimensional cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) as a reinforcing agent and a rheological modifier. Through precise regulation of structural assembly and theory-guided solution processing, the MXene/CNF film exhibited significantly enhanced electrical conductivity, tensile strength, and Young's modulus, as well as improved EMI shielding effectiveness and IR stealth.

Good impedance matching, attributed to the electrical conductance loss and polarization loss effect of the composites, played a critical role in their excellent wave absorption and EMI shielding performance.
