The role of libraries in distance learning during COVID-19

Summary: Distance learning is showing great promise in education, with online libraries playing an increasingly important role in providing off-campus information services. This study compared measures taken by traditional academic libraries in China and Italy in response to pandemic restrictions, finding that Chinese libraries were more effective in overcoming quarantine limitations. Most respondents reported positive experiences with remote learning and were open to continuing such programs post-pandemic.
