This paper presents a research for MHD (magnetohydrodynamics) viscoelastic flow and heat transfer over a vertical stretching sheet with velocity slip boundary. The Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model is introduced energy equation, which is used in formulating the relaxation framework of MHD viscoelastic flow. The highly coupled boundary layer governing equations are reduced into local similarity solutions ordinary differential equations by suitable transformation and then solved numerically. The effects of velocity slip number, magnetic number, Prandtl number, mixed convection parameter and relaxation time parameters on velocity and temperature fields are graphically analyzed in detail. Results indicated that the formulated models in this paper can be successfully used to predict the relaxation times transport characteristics of MHD viscoelastic flow and heat transfer.
