Is walking or riding your bike when a tourist different? Applying VAB theory to better understand active transport behavior

Summary: This research applied the value-attitude-behavior theory to understand the behaviors of walkers and bikers in tourism, leisure, and work activities in an Asian context. The results showed that values have the greatest influence on attitudes, followed by personal opinions and social norms. Personal norms significantly influence active transport behavior, followed by attitudes and social norms. Interestingly, the tourism group has the strongest relationship between values and attitudes and the highest prediction for attitude and behavior.

What influences COVID-19 biosecurity behaviour for tourism?

Behavioral Influences on Crowdfunding SDG Initiatives: The Importance of Personality and Subjective Well-Being

Summary: This study constructed a comprehensive research model that explores the relationships between the big five personality traits, the value of SDGs, attachment to sustainability crowdfunding, subjective well-being, and three groups of SDGs. The results showed that agreeableness has the highest effect on the value of SDGs, followed by openness and conscientiousness. Surprisingly, extraversion has a negative impact on the value of SDGs, while neuroticism has an insignificant effect. These factors also have important effects on individuals' attachment to SDGs and subjective well-being. Comparisons among different groups of SDGs showed significant differences in relation to the hypotheses.
