Creative Atmosphere in Creative Tourism Destinations: Conceptualizing and Scale Development

Summary: This study aims to conceptualize the construct of creative atmosphere in creative tourism destinations and establish reliable and valid measurement tools. Through in-depth interviews and content analysis, initial items were generated, and exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to verify the reliability and validity of the measurement scale. The results indicate that the creative atmosphere consists of five factors: novelty, joyfulness, artistic, hedonic, and distinctiveness.

The introduction of sensemaking theory in building a model illustrates how CSR activities impact place attachment for entrepreneurs. Respondents in the study interpreted CSR activities as strengthening social connections with the place and shaping their own identity based on place, ultimately enhancing place attachment.
