We report the genome sequence of Ulva prolifera, a type of seaweed, which was isolated from the Yoshinogawa River in Japan. The genome assembly size is 103.8 Mbp, obtained using Oxford Nanopore Technologies MinION and Illumina sequencing reads, consisting of 142 scaffolds with an N-50 value of 4.11 Mbp.
