Egg white-induced inflammation models: A study of edema profile and histological change of rat's paw

Summary: This study investigated the use of egg white as an inflammatory inductor in animal models, showing that it could induce rat paw inflammation with edema formation starting in the 1st hour and reaching peaks in the 2nd hour. The presence of leukocyte cells in the inflamed paw tissues suggests that egg white has the potential to be used as an edema inductor for evaluating anti-inflammatory drugs or natural products.
