Narcissism, toxic work culture and abusive supervision: a double-edged sword escalating organizational deviance

Summary: In summary, this study highlights the mask of evils in organizations through discussing various experiences and cases, focusing on the influence of narcissism on organizational deviance, toxic work culture, and abusive supervision. The findings show that narcissism not only directly leads to organizational deviance, but also indirectly affects it by increasing toxic work culture and abusive supervision, ultimately resulting in high deviance.

Abusive supervision and cyberloafing: A moderated moderation model of moral disengagement and negative reciprocity beliefs

Summary: Cyberloafing has a significant negative impact on workplace productivity, and abusive supervision is a key factor contributing to cyberloafing. This relationship is influenced by negative reciprocity beliefs and is further enhanced by moral disengagement. The strongest positive relationship between abusive supervision and cyberloafing is observed when moral disengagement and negative reciprocity beliefs are high.

Effect of abusive supervision on subordinates' discretionary behaviors

Summary: This study explores the relationship between abused subordinates and their reactions to abusive supervision using social exchange theory. The findings suggest that abused employees tend to exhibit citizenship behavior towards other abused peers, while showing counterproductive behavior towards supervisors and non-abused peers. Moreover, the citizenship behaviors among abused peers partially mediate the relationship between abusive supervision and counterproductive work behavior.
