Template Assembled Large-Size CsPbBr3 Nanocomposite Films toward Flexible, Stable, and High-Performance X-Ray Scintillators

Baiqian Wang et al.

Summary: Metal halide perovskite-based high-performance X-ray scintillator is considered a promising candidate in medicine, industry, and science. However, the stability of current perovskite-based X-ray scintillators is a limiting factor for their widespread use. In this study, a template assembled method is used to prepare large-size, flexible, and stable CsPbBr3@Polymethyl methacrylate composite films, and their detection performance is investigated.

Mn:CsPbBr3 Nanoplatelets for Bright White-Emitting Displays

Yubin Zhao et al.

Summary: Controlled ion-exchange reactions were used to synthesize Mn-doped CsPbBr3 nanoplatelets with superior photoluminescence properties. By adjusting the thickness and Mn doping level, the photoluminescence peaks and intensity of the NPLs were successfully tuned. The ion exchange process enhanced the PL quantum yield and intensity without changing the morphology of the sample.

Mixed halide CsPb(Br1-xIx)3 nanocrystals for green, orange, and red light-emitting diodes

Seung-Gyun Moon et al.

Summary: This study reported a facile synthesis method for CsPb(Br1-xIx)(3) NCs emitting wavelengths from green to red using a halide exchange post-treatment. LEDs emitting from green to red wavelengths were successfully demonstrated based on the CsPb(Br1-xIx)(3) NCs. The CsPb(Br1-xIx)(3) NCs exhibited abnormal electroluminescence (EL) spectra during LED operation, which were attributed to modification during the fabrication process and electrical field-induced phase-segregation.

The Impact of Precursor Ratio on the Synthetic Production, Surface Chemistry, and Photovoltaic Performance of CsPbI3 Perovskite Quantum Dots

Yuli Qian et al.

Summary: The study explores a versatile ternary-precursor method to investigate the effect of precursor ratios on the synthesis, surface chemistry, and photovoltaic performance of CsPbI3 QDs. It shows that adjusting the Pb/Cs and Pb/I ratios can significantly improve the reaction yield and optical properties of the resulting QDs. By rational tuning of the synthetic protocol, the reaction yield can be increased by more than 7.5 times, and material cost can be reduced from 303 $ g(-1) to as low as 42 $ g(-1) compared to the conventional binary-precursor method.

Self-Assembly of CsPbBr3 Nanocubes into 2D Nanosheets

Qingye Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, 2D CsPbBr3 nanosheets with a thickness of about 3 nm were successfully synthesized, and their lateral dimensions were found to be adjustable by tuning the ratio of short and long ligands. The nanosheets resulted from the self-assembly of CsPbBr3 nanocubes, with a narrow amorphous region between adjacent nanocubes. Insights into the structure and growth mechanism of these nanosheets were obtained through microstructural characterizations and theoretical calculations.

Controlling the growth of a SiO2 coating on hydrophobic CsPbBr3 nanocrystals towards aqueous transfer and high luminescence

Meng Li et al.

Summary: The successful preparation of CsPbBr3@SiO2 capsules with enhanced stability opens up new possibilities for the development of lead halide perovskite nanomaterials. The SiO2 shell acts as a buffer layer to block direct contact between CsPbBr3 and excess PbBr2 precursor, leading to improved stability in polar solvents and air. The bright green emission observed after 90 days under UV light further highlights the potential of this approach in improving the performance and longevity of these nanomaterials.
