Mental health outcome and resilience among aiding Wuhan nurses: One year after the COVID-19 outbreak in China

Summary: This study examined whether aiding Wuhan experience was associated with adverse mental health outcomes in nurses one year after the COVID-19 outbreak in China. The results showed that aiding Wuhan experience did not lead to additional adverse mental health outcomes in nurses, except for insomnia. The psychological status of nurses in general requires more attention.

Determination of stress, depression and burnout levels of front-line nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic

Summary: This study found that front-line nurses experienced high levels of stress and burnout, as well as moderate levels of depression during the COVID-19 pandemic. Younger nurses with less work experience tended to feel inadequate in nursing care and had higher levels of stress and burnout. Nurses who tested positive for COVID-19 and did not want to work voluntarily during the pandemic showed higher levels of burnout.
