Inhibition of Neuronal Necroptosis Mediated by RIPK1 Provides Neuroprotective Effects on Hypoxia and Ischemia In Vitro and In Vivo

Summary: Ischemic brain injury is a pathological condition caused by oxygen and energy substrate deficiency. Necroptosis, a form of cell death, plays an important role in ischemic damage and RIPK1 blockade shows potential as a target for correcting neural network disruption. The study demonstrated that RIPK1 blockade partially preserved calcium and bioelectric activity of neuron-glial networks.

3D-printed hyaluronic acid hydrogel scaffolds impregnated with neurotrophic factors (BDNF, GDNF) for post-traumatic brain tissue reconstruction

Summary: Reconstruction of brain tissue after traumatic injury is a challenging task. In this study, a 3D hydrogel scaffold with specific biochemical properties was used to reconstruct brain tissue. The scaffold showed good biocompatibility and promoted neuronal process outgrowth and enhanced functional activity of neuro-glial networks. Animal experiments demonstrated the favorable regenerative potential of the scaffold for post-traumatic nerve tissue.
