Synthesis of nanoadsorbent entailed mesoporous organosilica for decontamination of methylene blue and methyl orange from water

Khurram Shahzad et al.

Summary: The study presented the synthesis of template-supported nanoadsorbents consisting of mesoporous organosilica (MPOS) to remove methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) from water effectively. The MPOS showed high adsorption capacities for both pollutants with a multilayered sorption mechanism and demonstrated reusability with only a slight decline in adsorption efficiency after five cycles. This eco-friendly approach and efficient removal of pollutants make MPOS a competent nanoadsorbent for water decontamination.
