Renal artery stenosis

Robert D. Safian

Summary: Renal artery stenosis, primarily caused by atherosclerosis, can be diagnosed non-invasively with ultrasound. For symptomatic patients, renal artery stenting is the preferred treatment, while asymptomatic patients do not require revascularization.
